da dobrowin： In a recent interview, the former Premier League defender, Alan Hutton, urged Glasgow Rangers to tie down central-midfielder, Glen Kamara, to a new deal at Ibrox.
da pinnacle： So far this season, Kamara has impressed over his 28 Scottish Premiership appearances for Steven Gerrard’s side, with the 25-year-old scoring one goal and providing one assist, averaging a SofaScore match rating of 6.99.
As a result of his fine form, it would appear as if the £6,200-per-week Finland international could be rewarded with a new contract at Gers, with Kamara himself suggesting that talks regarding a new deal were underway.
And, speaking recently to Football Insider, Hutton urged Rangers to ensure that the midfielder puts pen to paper on a contract renewal as soon as possible, as the former right-back believes that a big club could come knocking for the 25-year-old sooner rather than later.
He said: “Get it done as soon as possible, in my opinion. I think he’s been absolutely fantastic over the years. I mean, signing this guy for £50,000 and then for him reach the levels that he’s at. He’s an international player, conducts himself really well. I think it’s a no brainer.
“Look, it kind of helps both parties. If he goes and signs a new contract now, it’s good for Rangers, it’s good security for Glen Kamara. Moving forward, if he continues to hit those heights that he has been, especially on the international and European level, then there’ll be a big club that’ll come in and be sniffing round about him.
“Again, Rangers we know, at certain stages, have to sell some players and they’ll be making a lot of money out of it. I think it ticks all the boxes for both parties.”

Indeed, considering that Kamara is a mainstay in the Rangers side at present, the £50,000 fee Gers paid for the midfielder does appear to be something of a bargain.
And, with the £4.05 million-rated man earning a considerably low amount in comparison to some of his teammates, it would certainly appear as if Kamara’s performances of late have proven he is worthy of a bigger deal at the club.
Furthermore, as Hutton suggests, Kamara signing a new deal would also benefit Rangers, ensuring that, if a club does take an interest in the 25-year-old, Gerrard’s side can demand as big a transfer fee as possible to part with the midfielder.
