The 17-year-old has been fast-tracked through the ranks on Merseyside, making five appearances for the Under-18s and seven for the Under-23s.
He has already made his senior debut, too, playing 84 minutes at centre-back as the Reds lost 2-1 to Wolves in last season’s FA Cup third round.
A Netherlands youth international, manager Jurgen Klopp could call upon him as the Reds play Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting CP in pre-season friendlies across the next few days.
And supporters are excited at the prospect of seeing Hoever in action, with many believing that he will soon be knocking on the door of the first-team on a regular basis.
