Former West Ham United loanee Simone Zaza completed a permanent move to La Liga outfit Valencia on Monday.
The Italian striker had joined the Irons on a season-long loan deal from Juventus last summer, but after failing to score or impress in 11 appearances in all competitions, the Hammers sent the 25-year-old flop back to the Italian giants.
Zaza then joined Valencia on a deal until the end of the campaign and he has fared slightly better in Spain having netted four goals in 14 outings, although two of those came in the 3-1 win over strugglers Granada at the weekend.
That form was enough to convince the La Liga side to splash out £13.7m on him, and he is set to stay at the Mestalla until 2021.
West Ham supporters were quick to take to social media to give their views on the transfer and while some were in disbelief at the news, others were keen to wish well after accepting it just didn’t work out for him at the London Stadium.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction to the deal…
