The 32-year-old has admitted that it will be an absolute wrench to leave the current European Champions, after four years at the club, but realises that at this stage of his career he needs to be playing on a regular basis:
“A challenge elsewhere would appeal to me, and Liverpool are a great team with great players.
“We will wait until the end of the season to see what happens. I love Barcelona, it is difficult to find a better team than them, but I am ambitious and want to play football every week.”
Seydou Keita has scored 19 goals in 172 games during his time with the Catalan giants.
