da dobrowin: Liverpool were in exceptional form once again earlier this week as they dispatched of Sheffield United by two goals to nil.
da gbg bet: The Blades arrived at Anfield with a glowing reputation having picked up positive results against Chelsea, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all the while sticking to the tactical principles they deployed in the Championship last season.
But the Reds were simply too good for the visitors and deservedly claimed their 19th league victory of the season, leaving Chris Wilder in awe of 2020’s likely Premier League title winners.
In the aftermath of proceedings the 52-year-old manager had this to say about his opponent.
“They won every first ball, every second ball, ran forward and ran back!
“They had the humility and desire to do that as world champions.
“I love everything about them!”
It is rare that a manager delivers such a glowing verdict on the opposition and the fact Wilder felt obliged to heap praise on Liverpool speaks volumes about how impressive they have been this season.
And, rather unsurprisingly, feelings of appreciation were reciprocated by the Liverpool supporters on Twitter as they turned out in their numbers to claim he was spot on in his verdict.
Wilder is an old-school manager who has never shied away from saying what he thinks in-front of the British media, and it seems that attitude has endeared him to the Anfield faithful.
And one fan simply couldn’t resist having a pop at Pep Guardiola by suggesting he’d never be so effusive in his praise for Man City’s major Premier League rival.
Finally, one fan paid him one of the highest possible compliments as he suggested he should be the next England manager, while another suggested he’d be manager of the season if it wasn’t for Klopp’s achievements at Liverpool.
