da poker: Liverpool secured a comfortable 3-0 win against Aston Villa at Anfield, with David Ngog, Ryan Babel and Maxi Rodriguez scoring the goals.
da esport bet: Liverpool scored two quick goals in the early stages of the first half to virtually seal the win.
Villa improved slightly after the break, but Rodriguez's goal killed off the match completely and Roy Hodgson's side comfortably held on to secure a 100th clean sheet for keeper Pepe Reina.
The three points takes Liverpool up to eighth in the Premier League, while Villa sit in 16th spot and just two points clear of the relegation places.
A slow start to the game burst into life on 14 minutes when Liverpool took the lead courtesy of a set-piece.
Raul Meireles's corner from the right was headed goalwards by Martin Skrtel and Ngog dived in to head past Brad Friedel from close range.
Villa had no time to re-group from going behind when Liverpool doubled their advantage just two minutes later.
Lucas Leiva found an offside looking Babel down the right side of the penalty area with a lovely through ball and the Dutchman beat Stephen Warnock for pace before firing across Friedel and into the bottom corner of the net.
Liverpool were comfortable with the lead as Villa did not threaten home keeper Reina once throughout the remainder of the half.
Villa came out with more purpose in the early stages of the second half and Reina did well to deny Gabriel Agbonlahor a goal on 53 minutes when he stretched to meet Stewart Downing's left-wing cross.
However, it was game over on 55 minutes when Ngog raced away down the left before teeing up Rodriguez in the centre of the area and he side-footed the ball into the top corner of Friedel's net.
Glen Johnson had a fierce drive parried away by Friedel on 68 minutes and Jonathan Hogg blocked a Sotirios Kyrgiakos header on the line on 75 minutes as Liverpool cruised to a routine win.Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
