da esoccer bet: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has claimed that Romelu Lukaku ‘is tired’ after playing a lot of football for the Red Devils this season.
da cassino: Lukaku, 24, has played every minute of his team’s Premier League campaign thus far – scoring 10 times in 20 league appearances for the 20-time English champions.
The forward, who is valued at £63m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has only netted four times in his last 19 appearances in all competitions, however, and struggled to make his mark against Burnley on Boxing Day.
Mourinho has conceded that Lukaku is in need of a spell out of the team after a demanding few months, but the Portuguese is currently unable to rest his leading scorer.
Mourinho told reporters:
“The boy is tired. He is physically a monster but not a machine and he is feeling it. The guy is fantastic for me. But no, I cannot rest him.”
United will look to bounce back from back-to-back draws against Leicester City and Burnley when they host Southampton in the Premier League in Saturday’s late kickoff.
The Red Devils will then visit Lukaku’s former club Everton on New Year’s Day.
